BCANDS United, Interactive Learning and Development Series (BUILDS) (Currently in development)
With the goal of advancing the overall health, well-being and disability conditiions of Aboriginal people across British Columbia, both within Aboriginal communities and in British Columbia’s urban and rural settings, BCANDS is exploring the on-going development an interactive video-conferencing based program. The BCANDS United, Interactive Learning & Development Series or BUILDS would provide education and support through informational sessions facilitated by BCANDS with key guest speakers, presenting on identified health and disability issues/ priorities as dictated by the Aboriginal population of B.C.
BUILDS would be accessible to individuals and organizations providing an open opportunity for the identification of new and existing services, new partnerships, and the sharing of information in a cost-effective and easily accessible manner.
The sessions will be coordinated and facilitated by BCANDS staff with technical assistance being provided by various IT departments, both provincial and federal, as available.
